From the Brewery at Best End Comes a New Session IPA, Cuomo Arigato
Available May 14th, 2020
Atlanta, GA – Canning beer, and focusing on distribution of canned beer, was not a part of the opening plan for Best End Brewing Co. As a brewpub, the initial drive was the pursuit of the perfect bite for the perfect pint. The model was centered around in-house distribution and operating as a restaurant. There were no mechanisms in place to efficiently can and distribute. Then COVID-19 hit, and the decision was made to speed up the distribution timeline. The idea was simple in nature, but not in execution. The mission: hit the market arms wide open, with not only the mainstays, but with a new beer that would spark something in the public. Something that would bring people together and make them smile. Something that with all the divisiveness and uncertainty among us, we could enjoy together as a community, society, and family. On that day, Cuomo Arigato was born.
From the team at Best End Brewing Co. (BEBC):
“We crafted this smooth session IPA to pay homage to New York; its courageous people, its strong communities, and its leadership. We chose to make this an easy drinking IPA for many reasons. Our main thought was to spread the message that everyone can get on board with taking things slow right now. Whatever this new normal is, let’s ease into it. If the hustle and bustle of New York City can come to a standstill, if those packed streets can empty, then the same can be true of other states and cities. As a new brewpub, we completely understand the want and need to get back to business as normal. But that just isn’t a reality. Our head brewer, Jamie Parker, was able to brew this super crushable session from all leftover ingredients from other recipes in the brewery, a beer brewed out of resourcefulness, creativity and integrity.
“Our goal with Cuomo Arigato is to remind each of us that for now, low and slow is okay until we all figure this “new normal” out. With our state re-opening, it’s okay to BE careful. BEBC is here for you, and we have seen these last few months that you are here for us. We will do everything in our power to promote safe practices for your family, and ours. As we all slowly begin a new type of normal, please share this beer with the ones you love, safely and respectfully.”
“A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to United Way of Greater Atlanta, our neighbors in the West End. They are reaching out to the NYC chapter as well, to see if a partnership can be formed. It is important to us to try and have a positive impact on our neighborhood first, with a larger goal of lending a hand to anyone affected by COVID-19 in NYC as well.”
Brewers Tasting Log 4/26: Pineapple and melon characteristics with a hint of orange zest hop notes. Light & crushable, perfect beer for long days at home. Honest. Outspoken. Steadfast.
BEBC chose the date of May 14th for distribution of Cuomo Arigato because of a desire for their first canning release to coincide with the Brewers Association American Craft Beer Week, a weeklong celebration of all things craft beer. Now more than ever, we need to support local businesses and craft beer. For the inaugural canning release BEBC will also be distributing a few of their mainstay IPA’s: Slippers Rye IPA, Lack of Fokus NE IPA, and Hair Bears West Coast IPA. The taproom is currently open for patio service, pickup to-go, and contactless curbside delivery from 12pm-6pm Wednesday – Sunday.
BE strong. BE safe. BE resilient. BE Patient. Nothing but LOVE, from our family to yours.
